Some of us look for fun and useful things to do while others have hidden skills, hobbies and knowledge that can actually fill our gaps.

Background

Vibeji.com is an experiential platform that connects hosts with experience seekers. Initially known as LandedVibe, it offered offline workshops but pivoted to online experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Transition to fully online during Covid-19

Brand Writer: Phuc Lam

My roles: Visual Branding Re-design, Usability Testing & UI Enhancement

In March 2020, Vibeji focused on onboarding online workshops, launching ten virtual experiences. For this shift, I led significant visual branding, usability testing, and UI enhancement to ensure a seamless transition. Within 4 weeks, we went from 0 to 10 online experiences when we first launched our online collection at the end of March.

The team continued this momentum by speaking to existing hosts and provided support in creating a virtual version of their current workshops. I then created a Notion page to track our online inventory and, effectively, an important part of the site’s information architecture.

Inventory growth and rebranding

In March and April, we focused on inventory expansion and rebranding. The rebranding addressed pronunciation challenges and better aligned with the platform’s fun, young, and diverse ethos.

Usability Testing

Between May and June 2020, I conducted two rounds of usability tests and identified issues and informed improvements. These iterations enhanced discoverability, credibility, conversion rates, and retention.

Continuous iterations

Post-rebranding, efforts were made to fix bugs, refine collection naming, and update the Host Profile page based on user feedback.
